 - Domestic violence is a hidden horror in the hispanic community, one that hit home early for Luisa Diaz. She was only five years old when she witnessed her grandmother’s struggle to care for 15 children after escaping her grandfather’s abuse. “My grandmother is my hero because she left with no education, and struggled to take care of us,”said Diaz. “If more people in the hispanic community shared their stories, they would realize they’re not alone.”
